Metallica have demonstrated they are and can be anywhere to satisfy the thirst for their idolic status as one of America's most popular metal bands.On September 15, 2010 they kick off a two-continent tour in Melbourne, Australia and end the tour on November 21, 2010 in the same venue, Rod Laver Arena. Both shows have already sold out. Sixteen out of their 22 shows are sold out.A fan in Christchurch, New Zealand started a Facebook page urging Metallica to include her town in the tour. It worked. Demand for tickets - on sale July 15 and $200.00 each including fees, caused the band to add a second show in Christchurch. Both shows will likely sell out on the 15th.Metallica will play two shows in Tokyo - September 25th and 26th before heading to Aukland, New Zealand. Tickets in Japan were still available at press time. Clearly October and November the band will be entirely down under, performing 13 more shows in Australia, already sold out. Love'em or not, Metallica have come a very long way from their bus tour days in America.
